Construction of 100 kilowatt energy storage system at a solar power site near the city Water Filtration Plant . The closed circuit will allow power to flow to the water filtration plant during storm outages and save diesel.

Oregon Department of Energy (ODOE) awarded the City of Pendleton a $816,424 Construction Renewable grant to fully fund the project.
City has made initial deposit of 30% of project cost to the contractor for the 100kw battery purchase.
