Byers Well Improvement

Project Image
""

This project will increase the depth of the Byers Well pump to improve reliability and maintain adequate water supply. At times, the water table drops below the current reach of the well, reducing production. As Byers Well is a critical component of the City’s water system, extending the pump depth will help ensure consistent performance.

The proposed work includes extending the column, shaft, and accessory tubes by approximately 40 feet, along with associated bearings and appurtenances. The project also includes inspection of the existing pump bowl assembly, column, discharge head, spider bearings, shaft, seals, and motor to confirm continued functionality.
