West Primary Clarifier Coating

This project is to protect the West Primary Clarifier from erosion and acid attack that happens in wastewater environments. The launder (outside ring) where the water is moving faster and cascading down a wall is where most of the erosion takes place. Over time this erosion will expose aggregate and, left unchecked, can cause structural failure. The coatings process restores the clarifier by using cementitious grout to fill, smooth and cover any exposed aggregate, a thick epoxy coat to protect the grout from the water and a UV protectant coat to protect the epoxy from the sun.
