SE 4th Street Gravity Sewer Replacement

Approximately 1,500 LF of 8-inch and 12-inch diameter replacement gravity sewer with associated manholes draining to an existing gravity sewer. Approximately 300 LF of trenchless steel casing across existing railroad for gravity sewer utility. Asphalt road surface restoration built to the City’s industrial standard and associated earthwork and drainage improvements.

  2. Demolition as shown on sheet C-2
  3. Gravity sewer as shown on sheets C-3 to C-6
  4. Mobilization, traffic control, erosion control, and all other work associated with the work generally delineated above.

Funding

The City  secured a Drinking Water State Revolving Fund loan of $14,855,000 and a Clean Water State Revolving Fund loan of $9,800,000 to assist with water distribution and sewer collection master planning projects.  This project is solely a sewer collection system project and adequate CWSRF loan funds are available for this project.

Why It's Needed
This project upgrades capacity within the existing collection system where the City has current deficiencies. With these upgrades, overall capacity within the existing collection system will provide urban growth boundary build-out capacity for continued growth to the South Hill area in the vicinity of I-84 Exit 210.
