Rail Car Bridge Replacement Project

This project includes the replacement of an existing rail car bridge used for private property, WWTRRF staff, and Fire District staff access.

The existing rail car bridge allowing access to the wastewater treatment and resource recovery facility (WWTRRF) outfall was damage during the April 2019 McKay Creek releases.  The north bridge abutment was damaged by erosion from flow in the creek.  The existing rail car bridge sits within the creek channel.  Even if the existing rail car bridge abutment was repaired, the bridge would still be within the channel and 100-year year floodway.

Funded through: Sewer Fund Capital Outlay.
